Lyndon LaRouche: What Is Necessary to Win for Mankind?

Printable version / Version imprimable

LPAC —Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday held his annual press conference, attended by 1,200 Russian and foreign journalists. The night before, he had spoken with French President Hollande, German Chancellor Merkel, and Ukrainian President Poroshenko about plans to advance the cease-fire in eastern Ukraine and resume the Minsk dialogue. Throughout more than three hours of questions and answers, Putin spoke as a head of state facing war. Putin made clear that Russia was not facing "retaliation" or "punishment" for the Crimea. He told the audience that factions in the West had targeted Russia for destruction from the moment that the Soviet Union and the Warsaw Pact collapsed. He cited the First Chechen War as the start of the conflict.

Putin is not wrong, Lyndon LaRouche told colleagues on Thursday. While the Russian leader is yet to follow LaRouche’s public call from earlier this week—now circulating in Russian—to adopt the "Mahathir solution" by imposing capital and exchange controls, as Malaysia did in 1998, when faced with an onslaught by Obama-backer George Soros and other ravenous hedge funds, Putin is totally aware of the targeting of Russia for regime-change. Since April, when Putin and other top Russian and Belarus officials told participants in the Moscow International Security Conference that "color revolutions" and "sanctions" are the new form of warfare, Russia has been crystal clear about the current state of war. This is not a new Cold War. This is a looming hot war that could very likely go thermonuclear!

LaRouche warned that the British and Wall Street are driving the world to war from a position of weakness and desperation.

"They are bankrupt, and their Obama presidency and their Jeb Bush option are both sinking fast."

However, LaRouche cautioned,

"It is moments like this—unique moments in history—when assassinations happen."

He cited the assassinations of John F. Kennedy and Robert F. Kennedy.

"Those assassinations changed the course of history."

The enemies of mankind, centred in the City of London and Wall Street—the financial oligarchy—are losing. The Western European banks are poised to be the big losers in the European sanctions against Russia. Wall Street is sitting on shale oil and gas futures contracts that could be the next trigger for a blowout. This is why President Obama and Jamie Dimon were so desperate to get Congress to capitulate to the new spending bill that included a poison pill amendment repealing the ban on FDIC bailouts of certain futures contracts.

In their hysteria to secure yet another bailout, Obama and Dimon have triggered a backlash—what one Member of Congress called "the Glass-Steagall moment." Sen. Dianne Feinstein provoked a Beastman response from the Bush-Cheney crowd through her release of the Senate intelligence committee report on the Bush-era renditions and torture program. No one in their right mind who reads that unclassified report or even news coverage could ever contemplate a Jeb Bush presidency.

The real danger, LaRouche warned, is that if the British and their Obama and Bush League accomplices do succeed in provoking a confrontation with Russia and/or China, they will unleash a global tyranny and drive for massive population-reduction—even if a thermonuclear war of extinction is avoided.

"Are you willing to run that risk?" LaRouche asked. At the same moment, what is provoking the British is the emergence of a new alliance for the future benefit of mankind, centered in the BRICS initiatives and the science-driver programs of China. "Here is where the right questions are being posed," LaRouche continued.

"What is necessary to win for mankind? How does mankind progress? Only through absolute leaps, scientific discoveries that transform the future. With the BRICS and related initiatives, mankind can reach adulthood and can achieve breakthroughs previously unimaginable. That is what it means to be truly human. That is what we must fight to secure."

One gigantic step towards that breakthrough would be for the United States to join the BRICS. The petition calling for precisely that, released earlier this week, by the Schiller Institute, with signatures of more than 100 prominent figures from every continent, has drawn serious attention in China, where a number of major wire services and news organizations have picked up on the initiative.
